All Dressed Up & Going Nowhere

http://youtu.be/-lyVzYjHMMY

Don't let the head of the Hairies brain trust scare you off at the start, this a good documentary from 1971 focusing on the Scotswood Aggro Boys and their rivals the Hairies. Yes that's the genius name they came up with for themselves. We've given the "northern" look loads of stick on here in the past but there's certainly some sussed lads in this one and of course a few dodgy 'taches. And who wouldn't want to bash one of those Hairy mongs in the mouth for their haircuts if nothing else? Check it out.

As many regular visitors may have put together by now, For The Suits is a bit of a fan of the under appreciated. History too often forgets, and that ain't alright. Kid Gavilan is another one of those cats that is far too under appreciated. Watch this video, learn about the legend of the "bolo punch" and think about how a man can fight like that and have 143 professional fights.

This could very well be one of the most interesting boxing videos we’ve brought you yet, thanks to Sweet Boxing for it. Youneedto watch it, end of. Bert Sugar, boxing historian and writer, is not only a man we admire but a man whose forgotten more about the sweet science than most cats nowadays ever knew. So you had to know when he put together a list like this it’d be worthwhile. Brian Kenny, Teddy Atlas, Ray Mancini, Manny Steward and Lou Duva are just some of the names who pop up in the first part of this video. We’re not even going to mention the fighters yet, we’ll let you discover that for yourself.

What with Tommy Hearns induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame over the weekend, why not share a documentary covering some some of the greatest moments in his career? We realize were bordering on a Tommy Hearns cheerleading squad, but come on, the cat was bad.

A little bit on Skinheads, Mods, Suedeheads and Soul Boys. Nothing most readers won’t know, but some classic clips from the dancehalls of the day. Professional twat, Robert Elms, makes an appearance.

Salvador Sanchez folks. Tragically taken from us at only 23, started fighting professionally at 16. The video tells the rest.
